The Love Potion: Love

One final ingredient in our love potion is no other than love. Love is the principal ingredient that holds everything else in the love potion together. Love never fails. Wow, I thought everything failed!

Look around you at all the things we put our trust in that have failed: banks, the stock market, air- planes, cars, weather reports, leaders, food, corporations, pastors, churches, friendships, husbands, wives, children—get the idea? We can experience failure everywhere we turn, but love never fails. How is that possible? Don’t relationships end and marriages fail? Isn’t that failed love?

Well, yes. But that’s not the kind of love I am talking about here. This love is special. This love is eternal. This love is what our love potion is all about. This love is God. He is love in a way that we cannot begin to fathom, but as we open ourselves up to His love, He begins to teach us how to love others. When we experience His eternal love for us, we learn how to pass it on. That is what we need for our love potion.
