Date Night Idea: February's At Home Romantic Date

Activity #1: Enjoy your take out meal by candlelight

Set the atmosphere

  1. First you are going to pick up your favorite food and bring it home for a nice dinner.

  2. Then you will transform your living room into a romantic oasis: Dim the lights, light some scented candles, and scatter rose petals on the floor. Play some soft jazz or your shared favorite playlist.

  3. Set the table with your finest china and glassware for a touch of elegance.

  4. Even though you're staying in, put on something that makes you feel confident and attractive. It could be a fancy dress, suit, or simply your favorite date night outfits.

Enjoy your dinner in your romantic atmosphere, and ask each other these conversation starters:

  1. What was the moment you knew you were in love with me?

  2. What's the funniest thing that's ever happened to us as a couple?

  3. Describe your ideal "golden years" scenario with me.

  4. What's one thing you've learned from our relationship that you wouldn't trade for anything?

  5. If we were superheroes, what would our powers be and what would we call ourselves?

  6. What's something you're really grateful for right now?

  7. If we could travel anywhere in the world together, where would it be and why?

  8. What's one thing you've always wanted to try in the bedroom but haven't?

  9. What's something you're really grateful for right now?

  10. What's the funniest thing you remember us doing as a couple in the early days?

Bonus: Give each other funny nicknames for the night and see how often you can use them.

Activity #2: Reminisce on old memories

*This part of the date may require some planning ahead.

Do you like to save your love notes/cards/etc from your spouse? If so, pull those out. Now you are going to create a “love-letter box” for your letters. You can buy a box like this from Amazon  and then add your own touch. Or  you can be as creative as you want and find an old shoe box, tea tin, a mason jar, hollow out an old hardcover book to create a secret love letter stash, etc. to use for your love-letter box.

After you have finished your love letter box, each of you read aloud 3-5 of the old love letters.

Activity #3: Sexy Minute to Win It Games

Game #1: Sweet Seduction

What you will need: Bowl of M&Ms or Skittles

How to play: Decide who is player 1 and who is player 2. In this game, player 1 will go first. Start the timer for 1 minute. Using only their mouth, the player will pick up a candy, one by one & place it into your spouse’s mouth. Try to get as many as possible. Switch and then let player 2 have a turn.

Game #2: Cheeky Chopsticks

What you will need: A button down shirt, chopsticks, and a bag of mini marshmallows

How to play: One player puts on a button down shirt and makes sure it is tucked in really well. Then pour a few cups of the mini marshmallows down the shirt. Start the timer and your spouse has to use the chopsticks to reach down and remove the marshmallows one at a time. Switch and see who can get the most in one minute.

Game #3: Take It Off

What you will need: Each player needs 10 pieces of clothing on. Use scarves, hats, sweaters, extra shirts etc.

How to play: Player 1 will go first. Set the timer for one minute and see how many pieces of clothing you can take off your spouse with using only one hand. After one minute, switch and see who can undress their spouse the fastest.
