SIngles: "Playing Your Part" by Kent (AM Singles Leader)

Hi Awesome Marriage singles.Shakespeare wrote, “All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits and their entrances”. I do not think he went far enough.  Eternity is the theater and time is the stage for us to display our love for God. Every day our choices are viewed by a great cloud of witnesses seen and unseen. How is the drama of your life playing out? Is it a comedy, tragedy, or love story? How would the play be different if we viewed our struggles and obstacles as opportunities to say to God, “I love you! I am choosing to deny my desires for the greater prize of You, my Lord” Our no to temptation is a yes to love.  The fruit from one tree brings death, the other brings everlasting life.

Each of us has a different struggle according to our personality and circumstances. Thus, we each have a different assignment from which we offer our gift of love to God. Some give God more time and money in the hope that He will dismiss an area of compromise in their life. What God wants most is our response of love that is manifested in seeking to obey His Word. Jesus wants love from us that allows Him to take total control of our lives to protect us, perfect us in His image, and give us abundant life in the deepest parts of who we were created to be.

Beloved, time is short. The lights are coming down. This is our cue, it is time to dance. “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.” Isaiah 60:1,2What is written above is inspired by a great friend of mine who is like family, Dorothy Bayles.   Dorothy serves as a chaplain at various hospitals in Oklahoma City and writes for various venues.  She has been married for 27 years to Chris and every time I am with them they are inspiring and understanding.  She is lovesick for Jesus.
