Happy Thanksgiving From Awesome Marriage!

Every year at Thanksgiving, I make a commitment to myself to be more thankful every day during the year. I tend to start off pretty well and it usually lasts through Christmas and the holiday season. Then sometime in January, my thankfulness seems to trail off. I could blame it on the post-Christmas letdown but that is just a lame excuse that I’m not using anymore. The truth is that I get focused on other things and just forget to be thankful. Then I’ll start again but it’s a few days on and a few days off.

I have so much to be thankful for and my heart is to let God know every day. I just need to be consistent. So this is what I did today -- I enlisted a little help. I asked Siri to remind me every day to be thankful for something. Do you know what her response was? “OK, I’ll start reminding you.” Some of you may not think that is as cool as I do but enlisting some technology to improve my thankfulness to God works for me. Besides, Siri will always remember!
