Date idea: Spring Clean Your Marriage

Activity #1:

Enjoy a picnic-style lunch in your backyard if the weather permits. Prepare sandwiches, salads, and refreshing beverages. Use this time to do a weekly check-in for your marriage.

Activity #2 Special Project:

After spring cleaning your marriage, choose one area of your home that you've been wanting to spruce up or organize. It could be a pantry makeover, rearranging furniture in the living room, or creating a cozy reading nook. Work together on this project, sharing ideas and making decisions together.

Activity #3 Relax and Unwind:

Finally, after you’re done with your special project, take some time to relax and unwind together. Draw a warm bubble bath and enjoy a soothing soak together. Alternatively, you could play board games, or simply sit together and chat over a cup of herbal tea. While you are relaxing, ask each other these fun lighthearted questions:

  1. What's your favorite thing about springtime, and how does it inspire you?

  2. How do you feel about the idea of spring cleaning? Is it something you look forward to or something you find overwhelming?

  3. What areas of our home do you think could benefit the most from a spring cleaning overhaul?

  4. Are there any spring cleaning traditions from your childhood that you'd like to incorporate into our own routine?

  5. How do you think we can make the process of spring cleaning more enjoyable and less of a chore?

  6. What's another item or area of our home that you've been wanting to declutter or organize for a while now?

  7. What are some of your favorite outdoor activities to enjoy together during the springtime?

  8. How does the change in seasons affect your mood and energy levels, especially as we transition into spring?

  9. Are there any spring traditions from your childhood that you'd like to share or recreate with me?

  10. What are your favorite signs of spring, whether it's blooming flowers, warmer weather, or something else?
